    How to play Four Colors

Four Colors is a shedding card game for two to four players. Everyone starts with seven cards, and on your turn you play one card that matches the top of the pile by colour, number or symbol. If you cannot play, you draw a card. The first player to get rid of every card wins the round.

Action cards change the flow: Skip makes the next player miss a turn, Reverse turns the order of play around, and Draw Two makes the next player pick up two cards and miss a turn. A Wild card can be played on anything and lets you choose the colour; Wild Draw Four also makes the next player draw four.

    Four Colors questions

How do you win Four Colors?

Be the first player to play your last card. Shed the colour you hold most of, and save Wild cards for when nothing else fits.

What do the action cards do in Four Colors?

Skip makes the next player miss a turn, Reverse changes the direction of play, Draw Two makes the next player draw two and miss a turn, and Wild lets you pick the colour. Wild Draw Four does that and makes the next player draw four.

What happens when I cannot play a card?

Draw one card. If it can be played you may play it straight away; otherwise your turn passes.
