How to play 8-Ball Pool
8-ball is the most widely played pool game. Fifteen object balls are racked in a triangle: seven solids, seven stripes and the black 8. One player takes the solids and the other the stripes, and the first to pot all seven of their own balls and then the 8 wins the frame.
Aim by moving the pointer over the table; a guide line shows where the cue ball will make contact and which way the ball it hits will travel. Set the power with the slider and press Shoot. Pot one of your own balls and you shoot again. Play the computer on Easy, Medium or Hard, or share one device with a friend.

8-Ball Pool rules
- The frame starts with a break; the table stays open until a ball is potted after it.
- The first ball potted after the break decides who has solids and who has stripes.
- You must hit one of your own balls first; potting one of yours earns another shot.
- Potting the cue ball, hitting the wrong ball first or hitting nothing is a foul, and gives the opponent ball in hand.
- Once your seven balls are gone, potting the 8 wins the frame.
- Potting the 8 early, or on a foul, loses the frame; on the break it is simply put back.

8-Ball Pool questions
How do you win at 8-ball pool?
Pot all seven balls of your group, solids or stripes, and then pot the black 8. Potting the 8 before your group is finished, or on a foul, loses the frame.
What is a foul in this pool game?
Potting the cue ball, missing every ball, or hitting a ball that is not yours first. After a foul the other player gets ball in hand and may place the cue ball anywhere on the table.
How are solids and stripes decided?
The table is open after the break. The first player to pot a ball after that takes its group, and the opponent gets the other.
